Drink Driving! 50 Year Campaign….

The drink driving campaign has been very successful over the past 50 years – since the first advert – resulting in a huge reduction in road casualties related to this. The drinking limits are low and will be lowered again. Despite this though, alcohol affects people in different ways and you may find yourself over the limit when you haven’t had much to drink at all. Your weight, age, sex and stress levels are some of the factors that can put you over the limit despite having drunk very little. And if you are convicted of drink driving you can face a 12 month driving ban, a criminal record, a fine of up to £5,000 and an endorsement on your license for up to 11 years.
